summer vibes 2024

I’ve got a tradition of trying to making playlists for our family vacation (usually to Martha’s Vineyard). Sometimes they’re really good, sometimes not so much. Sometimes they’re on time, and sometimes, like this one, they come a bit late. But like a great poet once said, “never on schedule, but always on time.”

Without further ado, I introduce, “Summer Vibes 2024.”

It’s a long one with 142 songs and 8 hours and 20 minutes. I tried to hit on more than R&B, and dipped into afrobeats/amapiano, pop, disco/funk, and caribbean/reggae tracks. The goal wasn’t to just emphasize R&B music, but to present a landscape that would go well with a day at the beach, or driving to get ice cream, or just having some rosé on the porch.
